Profile Summary
I completed PhD in Electrical Power Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India in 2019. I served as a Senior Research Specialist in Power Systems at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, New York, United States of America, and as a Senior Researcher in Power Systems at FER, University of Zagreb, Croatia. I worked as a Principal Engineer in Power System Planning & Studies at KNR Engineers & Consultants, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and as a Expert in Power System Planning & Studies at Siemens Energy, Erlangen, Germany. Also, I worked as a Lead Engineer in HVDC System Design & Studies at GE Renewable Energy, Dresden, Germany.
I have strong interest and solid experience in power system modeling (steady-state & transients), HVDC (LCC, VSC, Point-to-Point & Multi-terminal) modeling & studies, AC/DC network design studies, wind turbines & farms, grid integration of renewables, load flow (power flow), dynamic performance, short circuit, & transient studies, transformer & line/cable switching transient studies, insulation coordination studies, PSCAD/EMTDC, ETAP, PSS®E & MATLAB. Also, I am experienced with AC/DC microgrids, grid forming & following converters, inverter-based sources, distributed energy resources, FACTS, SVC & STATCOM, power quality, harmonics & filter design, rotor angle, voltage and frequency stability studies, motor starting & power factor correction studies, protection (relay) coordination & reclosing studies, grid codes, IEEE/IEC/CIGRE standards.
